Welcome 2-short,

I have attached the wiring schematic for the 03.

To kick start and run the bike without any battery power, disconnect the Orange wire comming from the Key switch.

Then if you want battery power, you disconnect the Red and the Red/Yellow wire comming from the key switch then jumper the Red and Red/Yelllow wires in the wiring harness connector sockets.

Regards,

Joe

You run a separate insulated wire from the Red wire socket to the Red/Yellow socket to connect these 2 wires in the harness together.

If you do this make sure the wire is the same size or larger than the the red wire in the harness and you have crimped or soldered spade contacts on the wire the same as are on the wires on the keyswitch. This jumper will carry all of the lighting power so you mave to make good contact.

Regards,

Joe
