99 fe501 interchangeability need dirt wheels

Hi there
last year I picked up a plated 99 fe501 supermoto.
now i want to put dirt tires on it.
so this week I bought a complete 96 501 that sucked a valve for parts.
(I need to get rid of now)

NO parts are inter changeable motor mounts are diff forks. wheels ect.
So I am asking what years have a 17mm front axel so I can continue
looking for dirt wheels. thanks

Can't you just transplant the whole frontend from your parts bike? Should bolt right up I'd think.

I ride alot of twisties week days and dirt 1 or 2 days a week
changing the front end out every week is not practical
my drz is a 25 min change out from dirt to street and I want to do that
for this one all i need is wheels that fit and I am having a hard time finding
them on a budget.

I might be interested in buying the gastank, if it's an oversized, the stock 2.4 gallons isnt going to do it for me. Sorry I couldnt help with the wheel issue, but I will probably be doing the same search.

Its a big tank goes all the way down on the right and has a fuel pump.
I also have a new side tank that goes on side cover.

I have a set of dirt wheels of a '94, but I'm sure the front is 15mm. I'll have a look later.

this 96 is also 15 mm maby I can find a head. piston and cylinder and fix this one?
