It will fit but it is a different generation. The 2000 swingarm was the first of the newer generation of cast alloy swingarms and compared to the 1999 it is way prettier. It was the same swing arm 2000-2008 for all models. upgraded perhaps but the same one.

I have a 2003 cast swingarm on my 2000 fe 600 which had a welded swingarm. The shock Mount Position is Different so I also took the shock and rear Brake of the 2003.

Ok thanks guys I need a 2000-2008 then I know I tried to fit a shock from a 98 or 99 and it didn't fit the swingarm correctly so there must be a difference
