99 fc 501 stator readings HELP!!

Hello I have a 99 fc 501 wondering if any one knows what the stator should read I have no spark and think that my stator is the problem but I dont know what it should read and cant find it in my owners manual I got from husabergs website. It is the stator on the cover not behind the fly wheel . I have found a stator for my bike but dont wanna waste 500$ bucks on one if its not the problem cause thats all most what I payed for the bike
 
red to black 2,700 ohms
and
green to black 165 ohms

red to black is your problem.

Thanks taffy !!! Is there a cheaper stator by chance I can get ? And are parts comparable from 99 too 03 ?
 
the electrex is cheaper but knocks I would think 25-40% of the coils out. your old SEM unit is repeirable, whatever you do - don't throw it.

No I won't throw it out I figure at some point we will need them all and as for my coil should I replace that as well ? And if so were can I source parts from anywhere in the u.s ? And again wpuld a coil from the 2000 too 2003 work are these years compatable with my 99
 
Yes.
I have tried all of the 99-03 stators on my 400 -00 and 501 -99 without any problems-
550 and 650 stators works fine with my bikes.

why would you change the coil as well as the stator. that makes the stator now not the cheapest but the most expensive right?

the electrex need a regulator to limit the output. alas I have a FS650e here from 2003 and the selectrex stator AND (yes AND) the I.M/coil are BOTH gone despite the new 'regulator'!

suggest you consider my stator.... :D :D

Only because u say that the coil is 25 to 50 % out more than likely so I would change it and the stator and should have spark right ? I just want to get the old girl running again she is clean in super condition and its a scheme too see her sit l. Is there a way I can test my coil as well ?? I'm going to go test my stator and see if I get the ones taffy posted. And also would it be cheaper for me too get one over seas from u taffy in Europe than it would be to drive the 3 hours too my husaberg dealer who has one ?
 
I said that the electrex 'knocks out the coil' at a rate of 25% to 40%.

so that means for every 10 people that buy an electrex stator as a "cure", 2-4 of those ten then have the coil crash.

your coil should be fine right now. they don't go unless an electrex stator has/is been used. I hope this is now clear! get a repaired SEM stator and you you should be good to go.

you local dealer won't have one of these. 2003 parts are now no longer available almost across the board if that was the last year that that part was used....

the SEM factory in Sweden closed in 2008.

Ok all cleared up thanks for that I was a bit confused as to what u meant guess its time to call my local husaberg dealer BOSS and get my stator he said he had 1 and only 1
