'99 501 parts to '02 400

Hello,

I just found used FE501 '99 ignition parts, but i can't test them before buying so does anybody know, if '99 501 Stator+CDI/coil box fits into '02 FE 400 ?

If it fits in mechanical level, what about the ignition curve etc?

Hi,

yes no problem. 99 parts also work in your 02.
But you must be sure that the parts are really from 99
and not from 98! The stator looks almost the same.
A power difference you won´t feel.
I´m not sure if there really is adifference. I know that parts
numbers differ from each other, but I never recognized a difference
in practical tests.
