I'm with Eric on this

perhaps the reason he NEEDS one is because his has PERISHED due to the AGEING process so buying another OLD manifold IS NOT such a good idea.

1997 Fe400E

When I start this bike the header pipes turn RED in less than 3-4 minutes. A local tech said 4 strokes will do this if sitting still. I had a 2008 KTM xcf250 with after market pipes and factory rejetted and never saw this amount of discoloration. Is this a common problem with Husabergs and would anyone know of a solution? Is there a solution? I don't believe this is normal. Thanks for any information.
 
VW nut

open the fuel screw on the front left corner of the round slide carb (back left for the square slide) by a half a turn.

you may also want to check the ignition timing. I have a video of this on my FB page.
