Has anyone made or purchased a bash plate (or skid plate) for the 89-93 model Berg frame with the "Factory" bend on the middle bar under the engine?

If so could you send some photos please. :spin:

Hi

If you want to make one, it's relatively easy.

Here you have some ideas.

In the end you should make some holes, specially in the bottom, so the dirt goes out when you wash the bike. I ended up with most of he bottom cut out, almost only protecting the frame tubes.

Good luck

Thanks Zaga, appreciate the photos and ideas. I've mocked up a couple in cardboard but the main issue is with the older models frames the bike does not sit flat on a stand, they have a 3rd rail in the center that has a factory bend that sits about half an inch lower than the outside rails, getting something functional but also not looking too agricultural is the challenge.

Hi

You can make 2 spacers and use the outside tubes or just use the central one, as fixing points.

On the front it's also different, you must use the engine mounts plates and make some brackets, on the central tube should be more difficult to make one at home.

I wouldn't say it's impossible

Good luck
