hallo, I've just find a sub frame tank for my 390, but, after seen the pics, I'm not sure its connected in the front tank in the right way (there is not a billete fuel pump adaptor plate, but it looks like it should be connected with an auxiliare hole close the original fuel pump.
I'm in wrong? is the right way to connect the subframe or is a bad work?

The routing looks alright, but that looks like a homemade tank from a normal frame. Unless it is an earlier generation..? If that tank is good and doesnt leak I guess it ok to buy, but then you could convert your own subframe for free instead.

Does anyone know if this is an earlier generation?

It's hard to tell without seeing the top side. Get a picture of the topside so we can see if it has the tank fittings.

Tapping into the main tank like that is creating a possible future leak. Also that hose looks to have a kink. Considering it has parts missing it suggests it's a converted subframe. If that's the case I'd just convert my own. One thing with that frame/tank though is at the outlet it looks raised/thicker which would suggest it is. I can have a look at my subframe and report back as mine is replaced with a 70 deg tank. The early tanks were a similar colour to the front tank.

It's missing the quick disconnect between the tanks. Best to have one here in case of future issues. Cheap on Ebay.

The black pump housing is preferred as the exit point. You make an aluminium plate to the pattern of the housing and fit a right angled barb. The housing only needs a 16mm hole made. There is a template on the Safari Tank website in the fitting instructions for the berg tank. This puts the outlet where the 70 deg tank outlet is.

Request a top photo.

I've only just realized. That has been tapped into the opposite side to what the 70 deg tank is so it's just a subframe converted.

I'd do your own then it can be done properly.

subframe tank

thanks to all for the unswers.. I'll wait for an used 70 degrees racing tank or I'll try to convert my own by modified pump like safary tank..
thanks
