Howdy All,
Looking into older threads, on the forum, this is a inherent problem with 70 deg bergs. But there is no definitive solution posted. So I thought I would tap into any thoughts.
Oil leaking from where the shift shaft spline comes out.
The shift shaft has a shaft seal ring (ktm #0760142460) which is a standard part.
I ordered a new seal and replaced the old one, which was a difficult job to remove and replace as it is a very tight fit. But the problem persists. I was thinking of replacing the seal again and putting some high temp, oil and fuel resistant, RTV behind the seal.
Any other ideas welcome, the leak is at its worst during operation when the oil is thin and the case is hot.
