Greetings all,

70 Degree Racing is happy to announce the introduction of our on the fly engine map switch!!!!! This switch is fully compatible with the stock lighting multi switch, and offers an on the fly adjustable map switch, with a much easier to use kill switch than the stock lighting multi switch. The stock kill switch will also still work on the lighting multi switch.

Price is $60 USD + shipping. Contact 70 Degree Racing for immediate delivery!!!

70 Degree Racing also has the Pro fill tank pre filters, and pump filters available for immediate delivery. The tank pre filter is good for filtration down to 60 microns, and keeps debris from entering your tank in the first place.

The pump filter is good for 40 microns, to catch anything that might get past the pre filter, providing protecting for your fuel pump and making the stock in tank filter last much longer.

The Tank Pre filter is available for $27 USD + shipping.

Very nice stuff Dale, I want the tank fill filter for sure, so how does the map switch work? It controls the light and the mapping???

By "On the Fly" do you mean you don't have to restart the bike for the mapping changes to take effect, or just that it's easier to use than the OEM switch?

No, you still have to kill the motor and let it stop before the new map will take, that's the design of the ECU system.

Our switch just lets you select the map you want, then, when it's convenient you can just pull the clutch in, and coast while you kill the motor and let it stop spinning. Then just restart the motor and the selected map will then be in service. Much easier than having to stop, and fumble around with the stock hard parts switch and then take off again.

Thanks. I'll probably get both filters when I get the aux. tank (BTW - can't find a place to order them on your site).

The map switch - I have the stock one and I don't really use it - I always run in soft mode and I don't need to switch "on the fly" even if I did use it, but I can see how others might.

got tired of fumbling with the weird ktm switch... so I'm in for 70deg's switch! :D

just got off the phone with John Wiser, what a great guy, really enjoyed the chat-

'70 Degrees Racing' rocks

We have been working on the switches for a while now, and we just got our first shipment of switches in, so they are not up on the web page yet, but as the gentleman above noted, a quick call to 70 Degree Racing will get you one headed your way!!

Hey Dale,

Great idea. Just make sure I'm reading this right...your new switch totally replaces the stock switch right? Do you have any pics of it on the bike? I was hoping to see all the switches, rockers, etc.

Does yours have a switch for the horn too? Thanks.

The 70* map switch does not replace the stock lighting/horn/kill switch. One would move their stock lighting switch to another location. A suggestion would be to put the STOCK lighting switch on the thick rubber for the hydraulic clutch, and place the 70* map switch next to the left grip.

Sorry, we don't have a picture of one on the bike yet, I have one on my bike, but my bike is at the mold building company right now that is making our Sub frame gas tank. If you don't see one soon, hit me up and I'll put one up. We should have photo's and buy buttons on the 70* site in the near future for both the map switch and the fuel filters.

Thanks for your interest!!

Dale

I think these filters are spot on, I cleaned my tank out recently and it was full of crud that falls of the walls and bottom of the underground storeage tanks at the stations and gets sucked up into bowsers.
I tried to order these items on the site(70degrees racing) but the order tabs under 'order and imformation' aren't there yet for the filters, so I placed an order via email.

I'm still not completely clear on your Map switch. Is the Kill switch included in your map switch assembly intended to replace the existing kill switch on the bike?

Thanks,
J

How hard is it to install the pump filter? I've been meaning to go in and make sure the pick up is all the way at the bottom of the tank. I've run out of gas twice now and there's been a little bit of fuel in the tank both times.

In airplane terms there is fuel capacity, an usable fuel. I think once you pull the fuel pump holder and have a look you'll see what I mean. When you're getting low on fuel you need to pick the front end up once and a while to get all the fuel in the front to settle into the back area where the pump is.

The fuel pump is held in by a bracket that clips into the housing. I checked my fuel pump pre filter a while back and it looks like it's engineered to pick up most of the fuel pretty good.

It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to install the pump filter, you can definitely see where dirt could get past the stock pre filter.

Howdy DaleO,

I would like to order one of your pump filters - but it's not listed on your website yet.
Is this something that I can call and order?

Thanks! E-Ticket

I haven't got the filters to our warehouse yet, still have them here. If you want one pm me your address and I'll get one to you asap!!

We should have them and the map switch up on the site soon!!!

Contact 70 Degree Racing at [email protected] for shipping costs.

The new map switches are now on the web site. Stop by and check them out.

On a totally separate note.........

We decided to no longer carry the fuel filters for a couple of reasons. The margin was very low to begin with, and with the shipping costs it made it not worth it to carry the filters. If you still want a filter, contact http://www.profill-australia.com/ and they'll get you one straight away. Scott is a great guy to deal with.

I'm sorry for any confusion there may have been regarding the filters, in my haste I jumped the gun and didn't get the info to our web guy, and our main sales guy before I posted here. In fact, I sold most of the filters I had from PM's here at this site before I could get them shipped to our sales guy John.

To top it off, we then got a really nice letter from a dissatisfied customer about getting gouged for shipping when they could get them shipped from Australia cheaper then we could ship them.

Thanks for the...filters...happy customer here...there’s lots of products out there...its in finding out about them and their perceived benefit, that is where the value lies.. the knowledge far out weighs’ the cost of postage

Hey Dale,

Thanks for the updates on everything...really appreciate it.

Just wanted to double check that I can use your switch to just switch the maps and not use it as a kill switch also? Thank you sir!
