70 degree noise

Hi guys.
My 2012 390 is making a strange metallic rattle when shutting the throttle.
I've uploaded a short clip to YouTube
Notice as I rev the bike and let the throttle go it does it.
Sounds normal at idle to me though.
Any thoughts appreciated.

Yeah, I thought loose cam chain. It's got a dirt tricks tensioner in it though.
I removed it and layed bike over then re installed before I took this footage.
 
That sounded weird on my phone. Id check valves as well as air leaks from the top and out.
 
I know there is a leak in exhaust header where it joins the mid pipe. I could try re sealing that..
 
Pulled bike half apart to remove exhaust. It appears with the Akropovic header there is no room to run the graphite o ring sleeve type gasket at the join to the mid pipe.
 
Just a guess but maybe you have a crack in your exhaust somewhere?

Removed entire pipe off bike for the first time so got a close look, all seems fine.
I may install the standard header for now, looks unused to me. But if I do decide to keep the Akropovic header on I'll use some type of gasket sealing compound.
For my interest while this was all off I weighed the exhaust components, the Akropovic header saves 150g and the muffler around 850g so 1kg all up.
 
Well I think the bikes fine.
I bolted up the standard header and muffler. Sounds good to me.
I may upload a short video tomorrow if I get time.

I think it was just improper sealing where header met middle pipe.
I've put the Akropovic muffler back on as it saves a good 800g of weight up high and my stock can is immaculate (unused).

Yeah, valves all within spec.
I'd adjusted one exhaust valve last week from 0.20mm to 0.15.
