Do you think that this tank will only see a one year production run or will it be used on certain 2009 and up models?
Seems like a lot of effort to be used for only a year.

It is a full production unit for the bikes sold in EU. Only NA and AUS gets the old big tank.

In Australia my FE650 '08's came with 7.5lt tanks and I've been changing them to 10lt for obvious reasons, so if you want little tanks, PM me and I'll see if it is practical to ship them around the world?

I will swap you some brand new 10L tanks for your new 7L versions. I am a HSB dealer in Canada. It is probably cheaper for us to pay the shipping than it is to buy new tanks.

id love a 7.5L tank
I have a yellow 10.5L on my 9 month old fs650e (05 model) its only done 1500 road km, the tank is still in like new condition....... id love to swap it for a smaller tank with somebody.
im in adelaide and would be happy to pay freight?

the other week i called in to our nearest ktm/berg dealer to check out the 08 models
now i know why all the factory riders get rid of their 7.5l plastic tanks and replace them with the 7.5 l alloy one.
bit of a disappointment really, these slim line plastic tanks are still fat between the legs compared to the the new ktm 530s or the old 525 and is only very marginally narrower than my 10.5l tank.
if you have a look at the shape of the 7.5l tank compared to the 10.5l ,they have cut the volume out of the tank where it goes up against the radiator and down near the spark plug area,you think they would have reduced the width between the legs/ crutch area, as this is what the main complaints have been about.
still wouldn't stop me from buying me one though.
