The 4th Transatlantic Offroad challange was held this weekend in Iceland.

This is a 6 hr endurance race with 2 men teams. The race this year attracted sem big names, notibly Anders Eriksson 7 time world champion. He teamed um with Tony Marshell both on Husqvarnas. They went on to win the race with Mikki Frisk from Sweden and Brent Brush on Yamahas in second place less than a minute beind ( after six hours wow).

USA was represented by Ron Lawsen from Dirt Bike who teamed up with Paul Krause..

Our very own Heimir Barðarson turned upp on his stead Brutus Maximus and put in a very good show with some stable riding. He rode in his now famous icelandic wooly sweater ( Lopa peysa ) hence his nick name "Lopi" or Wooly in english.

400 riders took part in this event with was held under blue skies and perfect riding conditions.

Hi Taffy,

Lights are alreaddy off for the whole of summer. 24hrs light you see. Well turn them back on end of august.

You should come and try it sometime, it is really a great experince to be riding in bright light in the middle of the night.

This picture is taken during a ride through the night in June.
