Has anyone built a FE570 Berg with the Thumper Racing 610cc kit yet ???

Looking for some feedback from anyone who may have already done one before I pull the trigger

I don't have experience with this particular kit.

I do however have one of there 453 kits on my KTM 400. Very well done, quality kit. It is still going strong at 100+ hours.

Ok all the feedback I have had on the TR 610cc kit is all very positive

Also got good info on a guy in Belgium that builds 662cc motors as well

So I'm gunna build one post Safari this year. Have decided to treat myself to a Thumper Racing 610cc kit, 44mm Bergo's throttle body, slipper clutch & full Akra system for the next ARC Forest RallyMoto race. Extra hp never goes astray when talent is lacking
That little lot should make the 570 good for ~65rwhp

yeah would prefer a off-the-shelf 650cc sloper but hey if Moses wont go to the mountain and see the light then bugger it I'll make my own

sounds good

I wonder.... the old 80mm crank would surely fit in the LDC with a bit of butchering

So the 610 kit must be a 104mm bore by my calcs. With an 80mm stroke that makes it a 680.
Pitty I can't ride or be game enough to split a casing open and wack in a stray crank, but it sounds unreal.
Some blokes are saying the 570 makes them tired compared to the 390. With a 680 LDC Gazza will need to take a pillow with him for a nap in the bush halfway. :D

Gary when i was in Italy with the Australian dealers for the release of the 70 degree engine i asked the question immediately of a big bore kit to one of the young engineers who built a lot of the engine, he said why more power and i expalined where we live and where we ride, and how much power you need 570 have plenty, when i shocked him with the gearing we i ran on my 650 he pointed directly at the KTM stand which was next to the Husaberg stand and right at the new 1190 RC8 and said in broken english you need a piston from that !!! and 100mm is as big as you can go !!!!. End of conversation....I guess a head gasket to suit and a map for the EFI would be the next drama. He did say it may be offered as a hard part in the future but not for a few years. The old 620 LC4 is 103mm but it depends on piston pin height and what you can take the 570 cylinder out to. Not sure what he told me the 1190 piston would get it out to but im sure it was 590 plus.?????? we had some nights out and did gather information from the makers which is all good now but i went a step further. afterall they fixed the beer tab at the end so i kept close by.
Check the 1190 piston dimensions i did no more research after and got out of the dealer circus soon after.

John the Rc8 piston has been used in the old engine with the 82mm crank for 694cc, the pin is the right size

deck height is too low and the piston crown is wrong but if you decked the block and added the Rc8 head it should be nice

expensive though.
