570 pistons / changes in 2009 vs. 2010+

Hi yall!

Back on track with the 570 (I use this bike for ice racing and this winter no ice, so other things got the attention, but now aiming for next winter.)

Got the CP piston, check.
Now I have had time to glance the heads and I measured min port diameter to 26,5-27mm fairly round, is that what you other guys have found too?
Im thinking thats going to have way too high airspeed on a 565cc for any sort of top end.
On the ice you need top end, but of course as broad range as possible down from that.
I dont want to push the revs as its a long stroke, but still too restrictive here ime.

Anyone got experience or can point me in a direction to someone that can tell or have suggestions on port design?
Im fairly used to engines and tuning, I just havent tried this bike/type of head before, so any help/directions is highly appreciated!

Cheers Tom

Thanks again BM.
Monster tq replied he didnt do the actual port job, so no success there, but thanks anyway to MTQ appreciate you taking the time to answer.

Ill try the KTM community.

What I found measuring the ports is they are close to 27mm round, and they are way too small for any decent top end, renders 380fps at 8500rpm, so they need to be in the range of 29.5 to be good at 8500, rendering 300-ish fps.

Funny note, talking to my mate from childhood being an industrial designer he knows Jens quite well, who developed the 70 degree bike.
He is known for 'detuning' the engines, so theres a fair chance to find power here, at least a tiny light in the tunnel, unless its a train approaching :)
Ill let you know.

PS rumors says HB is now at Husky, will we see a revival of the 70 degreer? DS
