That's the same reaction I had !

I came across it while randomly googling, I was experimenting with tb sizes and not having much luck glad I came across it. Funny though, I have never felt compelled to share it with the community until now

Good read!
Slight confusion here, what lift numbers? If 1mm they are way long cams at 270 something, woudnt expect that.
In the PDF link I see its more of a very short cam, which I would expect as its an enduro engine, little top end power needed here.

Not mentioning lift for the figures makes its guesswork for me though.
In the PDF page 51 at 1mm lift opening I see five degrees (give or take) and it ends up at 235, anyone else confirm the same observation?
Also taking the head off my 2009 Ive got 40mm valves, while this study states 38, hmm.
What gives?
Im new to this forum and to the 570 but I degree cams and tune other bikes all the time, so this is nothing new to my eyes.
Asking for personal use of my own 570 appreciate any input!

Cheers mate  I would have taken the oe cam specs myself but time was against me. Hope to be able contribute specs of a reprofiled unit I have when get home in three weeks or so.

Edit sorry Tomtom, if you can wait I will take some valve specs when I am at home again.

The link doesnt work for me, says resource not found.

Try this - some forum software / browsers don't pick up the "á" character correctly.

Code:

Thanks, id be interested to see what specs the reprofiled one is, basically any information is interesting.
Im going to use the OEM for now as time is short, perhaps for next year.

Trying to grasp what the narrow sector is on these engines, for now Ill go with a head cleanup (just making transitions smooth, good SSRs and some unshrouding), CP piston, airbox mod and then map it, a shot from the hip.

If anyone knows of information regarding tests/development, like airspeed and flow etc, please let me know!
