I am fitting the KTM/Husaberg fan kit to my 2010 570 today. Everything fits like it should except i cant find where to plug the thing into my wiring! I was led to believe that these kits are a plug and play deal but there doesnt seem to be a mating plug in my harness! The fan kit has a white two pin type plug. My harness has a white four pin plug and a black two pin plug free but neither are the correct shape to suit the plug on the fan! My mate fitted one of these to his EXC 530 awhile ago and said it just plugged in. Is there a different plug for the berg? Do i have the right kit? I was under the impression they were the same set up. Is there a wire i can tap into for power? I assume one is power and one is earth.
OK, false alarm! I found it hidden up under a cable tie and covered by other wires. Of course now i feel like a dumb *** for posting about it but im getting used to that these days!
Thanks for that, i found that diagram earlier when i was searching the site for wiring info. Luckily i found the plug i was looking for before i started splicing into my loom! Just for interests sake, can anyone shed some light on what the other two "spare" plugs are for? I noticed there are a few more wires to nowhere behind the headlight aswell. I know which ones used to go to my indicators but there are others aswell. Did these bikes have extra features overseas that we didn't get here in Australia?
