Hi guys.
I recently saved one HSB crank from broken engine. But now when im looking at it im not exactely sure what i saved :D
The big end is 32 mm, length 123-124mm cant measure it accuretly and width is 9 mm. So my question is. What i saved i think its 550? :) And is there any advantage from machining it from 32 to 35mm big end?
Im playing with idea to do a belly shape crank like 628s has and rebalance it. I read that they were quite heavy for a 550 if it is from 550.
Thanks for any answers and ideas.
Regards!

Increasing the large end bearing of the connecting rod has only positive effects. However, you must contact a specialist, because you will have to rebalance the crank as well as check that the piston height is correct.

No problem i have a guy that makes custom rods first idea was to make just bigger hole in OEM rod but when we talked about it we agreed at the end that making a whole new rod would be better. When we will keep a stock conrod length from center to center a piston height should not be a problem.
