For those that have been on a Husaberg or been around them I am looking at going with a KTM 530 or a Berg 570. What are the pros and cons of bolth bikes?? Do allot of woods a few trips to the dunes and also it will have a Timbersled Snowbike kit on it.

There is a Berg dealer within 200 miles of me so that helps KTM dealer is 30 miles away.

Just looking for options and if the 530 guys feel the 570 is as good or better.

Thanks for those who reply.

PS came off a 05 YZ 450 set up for woods with rekluse and such loved the bike but time to move on.

Have you ridden any of the new Bergs yet? The handling of the new engine is what makes the Bergs a much better choice. I race a 2010 FX450 after riding and racing KTM four-strokes since 2003 and can say the Berg turns and handles so much better than any of my KTM's.

I would definately go with the 570 if you are going to use it as a snow bike. The fuel injection will make a huge difference.

I got to ride the 2Moto set up on 505xc and 530exc a couple weeks ago. They were an absolute blast. Dad and I both wish it was setup on his Husaberg. The change in altitude and temperature varies so much in the winter riding areas. The FI would be an advantage---you will need all of the power you can get out of either bike. I also like the approach angle of the front of the motor. I felt like the 530 was dragging too much in the deeper snow.

I have heard really good things about the Timber Sled version. I was speaking with a guy who did field testing on all three "Snow Bike" kits. He really liked the suspension and its ability to handle deeper snow better than the others.

Please post a link if you have any information on the Timber Sled kit. I have not seen anything yet.

For woods, I really like Dad's 570. It feals much lighter than it really is, and it has very smooth broad power
(get the ignition adjuster). In the aggressive setting it seams like it is as fast as my 505xc.

If I had to choose between the 530 and 570, the Husaberg wins every time.

If I had to choose between the 570 and a 505xc, the decision would be a little harder.

There is info on the TImbersled on both Thumper Talk and Snowest.

There is a Husaberg dealer in Alberta I think it is, that has adapted the 2Moto kit to the new Husabergs.

Personally, I am considering the Aprilia RXV as a possible bike to use as a snowbike since it produces so much power and has the potential for so much more.

But right now I am concentrating on getting a job first - no big expenditures until I know I can replenish the cash reserves.

I had a brand new 2010 KTM 530EXC and after 4 months had the opportunity to test ride the 570 from Phil Watts at Flinders Motorcycles in Port Pirie South Australia (Plug for ya Phil), and instantly made the decision to sell the 530 and get the 570

I have only clocked up around 600 kays on the Berg so far, but in every aspect the bike is a better weapon in all areas of riding. The FI is a big plus over the carby. The bike feels lighter and handles better.

Either bike will serve you well, but for me ? Well you know what I'm riding now !!

Thanks I just wanted some reviews from guys that have been around bolth even the die hard 505-525 and 530 guys all mostly say Berg so BERG it is!!

Thanks now I need to start shopping.

i thought my 570 was the unit to have untill i got the 390.this 390 feels like a mountain bike with a motor in it. hard to believe it's only a pound lighter.
