Hi all!,
I'm a bit confused about the shift drum in a 501FE 1996 engine, it's a 6 speed gearbox, but if I'm not wrong (which I probably am! ) I can only find 4 unique positions on the shift drum + neutral. (The bike was unable to start after a "repair" and sold)
After the 4th gear in the shift drum there's a hole for a locking pin, but then the grooves are straight cut for the 5th & 6th gear which equals neutral?, I belive that the middle groove should go from side to side for the last two gears, I've searched for images of the shiftdrum but everyone I've found looks like that! Are there two kinds of shift drums or what am I missing?
In this image, from the middle of the drum and up, there's the 1st gear, neutral and 2nd gear visible right?

In this image, from the top of the drum and down, there's the 4th gear and there should be the 5th and 6th gear, but this configuration equals two neutrals?
