Hi All, I have a problem with my 2002 501 flywheel, some of the magnets have come adrift, are there any suitable after market manufactures which sell an improved flywheel and stator as a kit? Regards Aussieberg.

maybe someone else here knows but we can't just keep throwing away perfectly serviceable flywheels. the company that made them went pop three years ago last month so they aren't making anymore....

ANYONE HERE DONE A GOOD REPAIR?

regards

Taffy

Hi,

If you can get the loose magnets out, use Loctite 326 structural adhesive, this is what I use and it works a treat, but make sure the magnets and flywheel are cleaned before applying, also make sure the magnets go back in the same way they came out.

Regards

Sparks.

Just an update on the magnet problem, as there was one magnet missing so I ended up purchasing a used flywheel from the USA. All should be OK now. Regards Aussieberg.
