501 cutting out after 5min , help

hi , please could anyone help me im ,in south africa , and have a problem with my husaberg , i have only done two rides,,, and after a great morning of riding by bike cut out on the way home after cleaning,it would only start when the bike is cooled down a bit then starts , after a few minutes cuts out then cant start ,
i have taken the carb off and cleaned all checked everything , i have checked spark , and there is nothing , the spark plug is new ,and have sprayed all electrical connectors with Q20 water displacemet oil

could it be the coil , or ....

please could you give some suggestions on my husaberg 501

probably your stator. this is the item in the right cover. either the inner or outer can break up and if you go into the 'gallery' here at UHE you'll see many sad pictures of this.

try to swop your unit with someone else who has a bike running well. pre '04 bikes have this (SEM) ignition fitted. this will be a simple check to do.

your spark should be blue. if it is orange then it will be quite weak.

the problem most likley is the stator ,i am sure i wont be the only one to put this forward as the cause there is info on this sight to test it using a basic ohms meter if the motor will start start it then stop it before it gets hot test ohms . start motor run until it dies then chech ohms readings again and compare if stator is ok go through the hard start test
