If/when that happens, it's not too terribly difficult to shift the rim to the side by adjusting the spokes. Tedious, yes, but gets the job done.
Plenty of bikes get chain slap like that. Different tires/manufacturers, though the same size can and will NOT be the same actual size.
Also, rotating the wheel in the swingarm, ever so slightly, to move the tire away from the chain isn't a big deal, as long as you don't go crazy with it. Don't trust the marks on the swingarm either...LOL!
