470 head on a 650?

Has anyone ever put a 470 head and piston on their 650? I have a lot of spares now and was thinking when its time for the 650 to come down to swap same heads and up the compression ratio

Heads are identical. identical pistons to the outside edge it's that bump in the middle that makes the difference. the piston to get is the FE450. 2mm taller to the edge and a huge dome in the middle. I do one 2mm taller and can dish it, flatten it or dome it. but only 2mm not the 3mm that the 450 offers.

no, the 470 has higher compression than any other bike of it's time. It does have the same stroke as the 400 which is 60mm but it has the 100mm piston as compared to the 400s 92.

it has bigger valves than the 400: 37/30 as opposed to 35/27.
