Joe

i'm pretty sure the seller is yoshie from the website. i would think he could post it for £10 to the states but once it goes from 'small parcel' to the next stage the cost does indeed go up...

Sorry Yosh, my 04 550 came with one and I have the Dellorto jetted perfectly on my 501!

Thanks any way, I was just bringing it to the attention of this forum.

Joe

Out of curiousity, Joe.

What jets are you using for the dell-orto ??

I have a 2001 550 (Dell´Orto of course) and am trying to cure a "off-idle stall"
It dies when you come out of a turn in low rpm. I have to really roll the throttle smoothly, or just clutch it in every turn.

My settings are ;
Main Jet; 195 (200 standard)
Jet Needle; DR274 (DR272 st)
Needle jet; K51 (K 35 st)
Slide; 45 (40 st)
Pilot ; standard, 33

Any suggestions, Joe ??

Hello Heimir,

Here are my settings:

Throttle Slide #4.5 (you can modify your OEM 4.0) I had to make this slide modification because I was using one of Dale Lineaweaver's LXR2 high overlap cams that cause intake reversion. See my post for a discussion of this at:

http://www.husaberg.org/modules.php?nam ... pic&t=1762

If you are using an OEM cam, then you will probably not have to modify the slide.

needle K51 clip #1-2-3, I am using clip #2 at 3000-4000 ft

needle jet DR 272

pilot jet #35

main jet #170

main air bleed #53 drill = 0.059" = 1.499 mm

pilot air bleed #60 drill = 0.040" = 1.016 mm

fuel screw 1.5 to 2 turns

The throttle screw will have to be adjusted to get the idle set.

Let me know if you have any more questions on this.

I edited this post to add the reference to my post on intake reversion effects.

regards,

Joe

Thanks for your detailed answer, Joe.

I changed my jetting due to a tip from a VERY friendly husaberg GP mechanic who I talked to two years ago at the Motocross Des Nations (Zolder) trying to eliminate hesitation / bog after jumps.
Changed everything except the pilot
Actually he gave me all the jets!!!!!

Can you believe that!!

When I kicked the beast to life after these changes, the exhaust went red glowing hot in less than 30 seconds!!
So I richened the fuel screw ad it went OK

The beast was much improved, good throttle responce but it still hesitates / bogs / stalls on low rpm coming out of turns.

I will try your settings (one at a time og course) But if anything else pops out of your jetting brain Joe, please let it flow......

Best regards,

Heimir Bardason.
