400 piston (y2k - '03) i need the deck height?

as it says, anyone swapped one out for another or gone up in CC etc etc?

the height i need is from tthe top (or bottom) of the gudgeon (wrist) pin to the edge of the piston within 0.1mm?

be interesting to see how you go taffy, with a hi comp piston.
for the 650 the hi comp wossner was 82g heavier than the std wossner, what piston weight differences have you got.
you would be expecting more bottom end power due to increased compression, less top end power due to extra piston weight, and a reduction % of the crank balance, which will cause it to vibrate more at revs and also loose a bit more top end power.
the 650 has a good option where all you had to change was the conrod to bump up compression without increasing piston weight.
cheers ..weed..

i can't tell you the differeence in weight pop up coz i haven't stripped the engine yet. what this info does irs to help me to plan how i'll do it! and when etc.

the problem i have is that the valves take up so much of the head area that if io need to machine the valve pockets out there will be nothing left!

you are kind of right with the changes but the proof is still in the pudding!
