380 kit jetting

For the FE450e 04-07 with 39mm FCR:
Main 160
Pilot 38
Needle OBDVT in position 4
 
I run:
170 main
42 pilot
OBDVR pos 7(richest)
R&D powerpump to get less fuel from the accelerator pump.The Keihin FCR Husaberg use has no leak jet.
 
I run 4strF's specs,although a little leaner clip position. LEaning out the acc pump is important and also make sure your fuel level is not to high. Scott, the std setting is too lean, similar symptons in a 450 works ok, but much more power with the DVR needle..
 
well one lot say R and one lot say T. as i did my alphabet at school you might know that S comed in the middle!

DMS on clip 4, 160 main. 35 pilot jet with 3/8 turn PAS (45PAJ if you like). Taff mod on the APJ reducing the pump action to .8mm.

scott you could lift that needle and FSF you could drop yours.

don't listen to fry, he only just found out he has six gears!!!!!

Oh, Taff, always gotta be different....and I've seen what you do in 6 gear, not pretty LOL
 
i ran a 158MJ and clip 7. i therefore had the same clip as you but 12 lower MJ. that's why i said you could drop it. at one point i wanted to raise it again and put a washer under it. i knew that i wanted an 'S' needle so killed two birds with one stone and got the DMS which is 8 letters different/4 clips richer.

i have tuned mine quite a bit and now sit on 148MJ.

We use as follows:
178 main
OBDVT needle clip 6th from top
42 pilot
We run standard 380 kit from the factory with standard exhausts. This jetting is used by Darren Wheeler who is probably the fastest rider on a 380 Husaberg in the UK. So if its good enough for him you know its good enough for everyone else.
