3 phase rectifer problem?

hi lads
just got a 2003 fs650 with the battery and electric start removed and lights stripped.trying to get the lights working to put on road but to no joy.its fitted with a 3phase rectifier which having read the doc seems different than most.there is 2 yellow and 1 blue coming out of stator going to 3 yellows into the rectifier.out of rectifier i have 1 red and one black which go into block connecter.from this connecter i have no voltage with engine running.i have done continuity test from block through starter relay to the lights and everything seems fine there.
my question is can i check the reg in any way to see if faulty.also can i check the output of the 3 wires coming out of stator to see if that is ok.i have limited knowledge of electrical system so any help would be appreciated.thanks

dang....

Almost sounds like it would be easier to get a whole new harness and start over.....maybe a new stator too....I am afraid I cannot offer any technical help.....but troubleshooting electrical problems can be difficult even for the trained..........

OK.....I may have to recant this.
I believe the the lighting coil is separate and does not run through the rectifier. I had an 02 FC550 and installed lights. It had no rectifier because it had no battery. So...I believe the lights ran AC voltage straight off the lighting coil, that being the 2 yellows and the blue.

find two yellow wires that give the same reading against one yellow wire(lets call it wire#1) left with a ohmmeter.with the engine running.test for AC voltage between wire#1 and one of the other yellow wires each time.you should read the same voltage(about 12v) with an AC voltmeter.when you gas it, the voltage rises above 100-200v without a load.if you get good results then it means the rectifier is gone.you can also attach DC voltmeter to the output of the rectifier.this way you can confirm the operation of rectifier if your stator is good.actually this is the first test you should do for a quick check.if it fails DC test then check you stator accordingly.
