2013 FE 350 won’t start

I replaced the stator on my 2013 fe350, and bike ran well on day 1 of a 3 day ride.
Tried to start with e start on day 2 - bike starts first time but after start, starter motor gives a high pitched whirring noise. ( like it’s spinning overtime) and then just a click.
I shut bike down and press e start button again. Fuel pump primes but no crank. Checked positive post on starter and it’s getting 12v.

Bike works well on roll start for an hour or two but after stalling, no more fuel pump priming, only hear a click when e start presses and can’t roll starT. Bike will roll in neutral but seems to lock up once in gear.

Any ideas would be helpful. Would or could starter motor fault cause gears to lock up? I have tried running power to starter with a separate battery and get nothing

Thanks for that. Battery checked and working well. I also connected a car battery as back up. No result

Took off ignition cover and removed torque reducer. Starter motor gear doesn’t spin at all so looks like something has jammed inside. Wouldn’t spin when i connected power directly to positive post on starter motor.

Still doesn’t explain why fuel pump doesn’t prime anymore. Checked connections onto fuel pump in tank - all ok. Fuse is ok as is EFI fuse.
Doesn’t seem to be getting 12v to fuel pump plug (where it plugs onto fuel pump at tank)
