Hi Guys
I have recently bought a second hand 2013 FE 350 and am in the process of getting it ready for road registration. I love the bike and am so glad I went Berg instead of KTM.
The headlight fuse shorts out whenever the high beams are switched on. I have identified the problem as being the connectors for the high beam warning lamp on the dash.
The connectors had been damaged by the previous owner and as a result, touch each other even when the globe is installed. The connectors are in a black rubber plug which itself plugs in to the indicator lamp area on the dash.
I have tried to source a new black rubber plug with connectors to replace the damaged one, but have been quoted $99 as the plug is apparently only sold as part of a complete headlight wiring harness.
I'd rather not pay $99 for the harness (which is the same as one from a KTM 350 EXCF) and am considering soldering the globe directly to the wires.
Any help locating the rubber boot/plug or an alternative solution would be greatly appreciated.
