Hi All,
I have a 2012 TE 250 that's always been a gem. Runs strong no matter where I run it, desert, mountains, sea level, 5k feet, no matter, starts and runs like a monster.
Went for the first ride of the season (california season doesn't start until rain) on Saturday and the bike didn't run right, put 6 miles on it and gave up. If you give it full gas off throttle, nasty nasty bog that doesn't clear up until you let off. If I keep the throttle pinned it will stall the bike out. Sometimes even just a quick whack of the throttle (to clear a rock, etc) would cause the same issue.
Pulled the carb apart today, pilot jet clean, main jet clean, needle moving properly, float needle working great. New gas, new spark plug... same issue.
Any ideas? Checked the PV, it is clean and seems to operate freely.
Bike has about 80 hours on it. This one has me a bit stumped.
