2012 Husaberg TE 250 Oversize Fuel Tank

Anybody running an oversize fuel tank? What do you have? How is the fit? Any recommendations?

I have the 2.9 gallon OEM tank which lasts about 2-2.5 hours and I get less than 50 miles on it. Would like to extend range without having to carry gas bottles.

You'll have to go with a KTM tank and radiator shrouds, to get a bigger tank.

I think the 'Berg 2-strokes were basically identical to the same model-year, same-displacement, similar-purpose KTM's ... I'm not sure what the corresponding KTM type was, EXC? XC-W? At least the "enduro" models, with headlight. Probably some parts interchange between similar models!

I'm not clear on what years they made the 'Berg 2-strokes. If you figure that out, then you're good.

You could try looking at the parts "fiches" for e.g. 'Berg 2-stroke motor parts and you should see corresponding KTM models being listed, at least on some of the sites that sell parts.

It looks as though the Acerbis has a cross over tank that is 3.4 gallons. this gives you an additional half gallon. I am looking for something a tad bigger than that but I dont want to go up to their 6.3 gallon tank.

Anybody else have any real world experience with this?
