2012 CC forks on TE 300

I dont know if I can be too much help. I bought a 2012 TE300 last week and I am in love with the suspension. However, Im coming off of a '96 Husky WXC250 that had Marzocchi Magnums on the front. The difference is of course night and day. My friend bought a 2011 FE390 the same day as I bought mine and he likes the suspension on the FE390 better than his 2007 KTM 250xcf-w. He is a 180lb. rider.

I won't be much help as I always have my suspension re-valved and re-sprung on my bikes. I had a 2006 450XC KTM and had the suspension pretty good. Have a 450 FX Berg and liked it stock until the suspension broke in and it was too soft. Had Bart at Genuine Dirt Racer in NC do my suspension and have loved it ever since. !!!! I'm 235 pounds without gear so new springs are a must.

I don't know what you are expecting from them but I am happy with my 2012 TE300 with the standard settings as delivered. I hesitate to change anything with the suspension. By far the best I have ever ridden - even better than the 2010 FE390 I traded for it.
I'm 6' 183lb. +50A riding mostly LA, TX, and AR enduro and trail.
I am a little unsure of the stock front tire because I am used to Michelin M12.

Yes. Standard springs as delivered. The sag was even close enough(for this old guy). I weigh about 208 ready to ride. I'm an old trials rider so I stand up mostly. I did change the bar mount from stock to the next forward position and I also rotate my bars forward - not as much as the trials bike - and cut 15mm off each end for bark busters. That and I dropped the needle one clip have been the only adjustments. The bike is just awesome and so much fun. I'm enjoying it everywhere I ride.

FYI. A friend has a 2012 300 XC (same forks) and he is heavier by 15lb. so he got the heavier springs and says it's the best handling bike he has ever had (even rivaling his old '98 KX250). I haven't ridden his 300 yet but his other bikes I rode have always felt a little harsh to me. He also runs the TGT bars. I have a set of air cells but I don't think I need them on this bike so Im leaving them on my 200 MXC.

i got the TE and love it also but have not riden many bikes to compare!!

Only concern is how much sag too run on the front? no expirience with the CC forks at the moment am running 40mm static anf 75mm rider with 113mm aft and 38 static i like the handling but the cornering oversteers...i drop the triple clamps today and riding tomorrow!!! i wait and see....

You guys have any suggestions??

I have the WP CC forks on my FX 450 with re-valve from Dale E O Suspension. I am 235, 6' intermediate Hare Scrambles racer in Florida, in 45+ age group. The suspension set up from Dale E O is absolutely awesome; forks are butter in small bumps but handle the big stuff easily. He kept the stock springs for my size and ability and it has been a good choice so far. Before his magic touch, forks were too soft from mid stroke to bottom and bottomed easily. Still better than the FE forks for my purposes. Have fun on that TE!

some adjust the sag, you can do it with shims on the cc forks and admit to make a difference!!!
