As I understand it, the soft is like the old XR bikes, the medium like the newer CRF bikes, and the firm like KTM/Husaberg/2x4. My previous bike was a CRF250X and I thought the seat was too firm since I sit about half the time. I wanted something softer, but I have heard many people don't like the soft because you sink in too far.
I explained my dilemma to Guts and they said they would send me one of the "softer" medium foams. I guess there is some variance in different batches. I love it!
I turned my 250X over to my 15-yr old son that is now 6'4" and decided to get him a tall seat, so I made the same request and my son loves his new medium tall seat.

I bought a Brand new Genuine high seat from berg dealer and they had one in australia It makes the bike awsome, it takes the plank out of the seat , but be careful you find yourself sitting tooo much

If your riding road alot I could understand but why a tall seat? Im 6"4' 120kgs and think its much better to touch the ground with both feet where I ride. Each to there own.
I just bought a tall seat from ebay for my 2011 570s for $157 shipped 2 day. It is a geniune Husaberg that measures exactly 3/4" or 20mm higher than the stock seat.

Does the step mean it's shorter near the tank and then taller in back? I.e. is it taller than stock at the low point? I'm interested in your setup but only if it's taller everywhere (and softer than stock).
