2011 Husaberg 570 Wont Start After Soldering Fuel Pump Wires In Wiring Harness

Just thinking put needles in wires at both ends of the soldering and check with test meter. Pump may have Thermal switch of some kind I don't know this.

Ok, Something is up here. The soldering should not cause any concern to anything when joining wires. Unless you heated a electronic component that could not take heat, everything should work. I would take tank and seat off as well front plate. Disconnect each component. Then start one by one testing what was messed with. If the tank was off, I am to assume the pump was out of the tank to stay connected? check connections at pump to ensure no connection was compromised and is shorting to ground or power or is open. Ensure your four wire connections are not shorting to each other. Are the red and white wires soldered together the same way and not mixed up? Not sure of the model but sometimes same color does different things. Check any switch connections. Something might have been pulled or shorted together by heat down the wire when soldering, so follow the harness to ensure. separate every thing and test with tank off. A simple light in place of the two fuel pump wires will let you know if it is powering up. run direct power to fuel pump to ensure pump is working, could be damaged when it was worked on? This goes on and on so check even the things that you would not suspect as wiring can be funny and sometimes is not forgiving. Hope this helped and hope you find the issue. Thank you for sharing that expensive and unlike to happen accident. I will for sure disconnect my ECU while soldering from now on.

I would also go vortex instead of OEM.

How did find that probem ? Checked with test meter ?
