is this the radiator fan connector (red & green plug)? it has a brown/black wire and a black wire running into it. it was capped and not in use. the two white plugs are the wiring kit included with the radiator fan. or is the actual plug really up under the gas tank and i have to take it off? i searched around with a light and didn't see any free plugs floating around under the gas tank areas i could see into.

I seem to remember having to remove the tank to get to the loom plug for the fan. It was tied up out of the way. The red/yellow plug in the photo is the plug for the map switch which has the wire colours you mention and is in the area just behind/below the headlight. The plug for the fan has a Brown and Black/Blue wire.

The red connector that had the cap is for the EFI map switch. My fan wire was tucked under the frame under the tank just behind the two radiators. I had to take the tank off to find it.

thanks. so if that is indeed the correct wiring kit, i guess i'm removing the gas tank...i was hoping to avoid that. oh well.
