Check fuses under the seat. If not push the starter for a second listen for fuel pump if it does make noise I’d say bad pump. Loose connections?

Check power to fuses first. If fuses all have power while cranking (both sides of the fuses) then check for water in the computer harness where it plugs in.

Pull the spark plug cap off pull out the threaded lug with pliers clean off the carbon reassemble . Be carful a resistor will be pushed out from an internal spring do it in a location that you won’t lose the resistor . Test it should be 5k ohms these bikes were plagued with flameouts years later I found this is one of the reasons .

That wouldn't cause no power to the fuel pump

The most common area for the harness to be damaged on these is where it runs against the frame next to the rear damper/spring. If there is abrasive damage moisture could have entered during the wash. I would have a close look in that area along with confirming no water damaged the engine stop or start button on the handle bars.

Another area to check are the two hex screws and spade connectors on the primary engine power relay that sits on top of the battery.
