So I’ve gone out and bought a 2011 570 FS with the full intention of picking up a used pair of forks and shock, then having them set-up and tuned by a professional thus ending up with what would basically amount to a 570 FE so I can go back and forth between the two styles. Of course I’m also shopping for wheels and a front brake (lever all the way to caliper).
However I’m a new off road rider having basically no experience and could use a little help getting started.
I’m under the impression that most KTM EXC and SX forks will work and if this is true what years specifically?
I’m also under the impression that a shock from any KTM EXC and SX after 2008 will work (due to the clevis style bottom attachment), sound correct?
Also, with regard to the rear wheel size, 18” or 19”?
Any additional concerns that you could/would share would be much appreciated as well.
We all have to start somewhere and while I’m starting off road late in life I’m excited to get started, I’d certainly appreciate some help with this as I’m to damn old to run the entire learning curve from scratch LOL!
