2010 FX450 e-start problem

I picked up a 2010 FX450 for a great deal this winter. I decided to get it ready for spring, checked the valves, oil change etc. I disconnected the positive cable from the battery while I had the bike apart. After the service I reconnected the cable and tried to start the bike. The relay clicked but nothing from the starter. Battery read 12.6 volts, checked continuity from the battery to relay to starter, all is good. I then tried to jump the relay to see if the starter would fire. I bridged across the two terminal and got some sparks. Now when I hit the start button I get nothing? Checked all the fuses and none are blown. Swapped out the relay for one from a friends bike, still get nothing when I hit the button. I had a good look through all the wiring to see if something was grounding to the frame but found nothing. I'm stumped. Is it possible that the ecu got damaged by jumping the relay?

I have jumped my relay without any damage. Basics: have you moved the pistons position by rolling the bike in gear? If not do that and try again.

Ecu would not make it not to turn, how much oil did you put in? Check all the wires from battery to the relay and to the starter.
For future - always disconnect NEGATIVE terminal not positive.
Try to put it in gear and see if engine rotates or remove the spark plug and try to rotate the engine. Disconnect the kill switch and try to start it again it may be stuck - make sure u can connect it again while bike is running otherwise it will run till you put it on the side or till it runs out of fuel. ;) Check all the ground cables, I noticed that on my FX few was loose..
