Hello Gang...
Interesting find, but maybe not. The cooling fan will not work on the 2010 FX...unless, RH radiator is replaced with one from an FE model OR one can hole saw then TIG/MIG a bung for the sensor in the exsisting radiator OR mount the fan and just run it on a manual toggle switch. Another option is to start hacking & cutting the plumbing to utilize the temperature sensor, which ummm...not a good idea. If one chooses to opt for the radiator change like I did, a rubber cap & hose clamp is required to cover the outlet to the thermostat line which the FX does not have. Another option is to just ride harder & faster which will enable cooling and one does not require a cooling fan...LOL!

Use the fan kit from a KTM EXC 300-10, it has an in line themostat fixing so you just need to cut one of the rad hoses fir the in line one and off you go.

Thanks for the info...Positive if someone has the time and energy, a Husaberg/ktm crossover database would make life easy. Who know, probably one out there.

KTM states in the parts catalog that the fan does not work on an FX.

That is interesting about the 300 EXC having a fan kit that should work. You wouldnt know the pn would you?

If the wiring is all there, why not just take your radiator to a good radiator shop and have them put the bung in for you. You might try Mylers Radiators http://www.motorcycleradiators.com/ I'm thinking it won't cost too much to get this done.

If all else fails, just run a manual switch. I'm installing two small CPU fans on my 570 before summer.

Thanks for all the info & advice. From welding in the bung to CPU fans...Have done the test rides and everything works great and the fan runs and shuts off when it is supposed to. Good times..!
