Hi guys, just noticed tonite i have a coolant leak coming from somewhere up under the fuel tank. I can see coolant running down one of the fuel lines and dripping onto the cylinder head, what could it be?
Hope it's not the radiator/s leaking…
Overflow hose is cracked or it undid itself.
And coolant level is too high.
*10mm above the fins when bike is level and COLD.
are you sure it is coolant???
Have you washed your bike recently???
Maybe you where a little to generous with the hose and sprayed water under the seat in your air filter and maybe that's the stuff you see OR maybe the fuel hose is damaged by the clamp behind the air filter causing small leak or maybe lower under the tank quick disconnect not fully engaged???
Or the hose that sends the oil from the cylinder head to the air filter is not completely correctly seated to your filter house....
Or maybe it is coolant????
I know al these things because I had al off these things happen to me:giggle:
(but never a coolant leak)
Its definitely a coolant leak i can see green coolant dripping and smell it. Where is the overflow hose located? i cant even see it with the tank on..perhaps it has come undone and left the bike at speed..
Problem turned out to be a bad radiator cap, the water leaking down onto the cylinder head was from the overflow. God damn that fuel tank is a pain to take off and refit by yourself..:furious:
