Hi There,

Sorry for the stupid question but I am mildly confused on this one, I have changed many a seal on the KTM RFS engines no problem and figured this was the same, hoping you guys can help me out a little? I did search forum first but not quite getting it.

I have a 2010 FE450(and one of Dales tanks!), water has started to come out of the weep hole. I have pulled off the water pump cover, the nut, impeller and disc and now I think I am looking at a pressed in bearing with a green cover? Before I proceed I wanted to check. Does this bearing need to be replaced and if so I assume you have to take off the RHS engine cover and press the bearing out? Also, I was looking for the shaft seal rings so I assume they are housed behind this bearing on the shaft and these definitely need to be replaced. These are the parts I think I need to fix this.

5 0760102455 SHAFT SEAL RING 10X24X5,5 1
6 0760102440 SHAFT SEAL RING 10X24X4 1
8 0625060001 BALL BEARING 6000/C3

Any help, guidance much appreciated.

Thanks, Digby.

Solved.....

So after taking everything off I can see the seals and the separate bearing and also the problem, a few observations.

You do not need to remove the entire rhs engine cover to remove the two green seals(oil and water) they pop out easily with a screwdriver or pick.
My water side seal was in the wrong way round as shown in this thread.. http://husaberg.org/forum/viewtopic.php ... 47#p116647
A lot of crud was found in between both seals indicating the position of the weep hole as the culprit.
The bearing is fine, the shaft is fine, the impeller is fine.
Ordering up some replacement seals and voila.

Thx, Digby.

Hi, I tried to do the job just by opening the cover but after the impellerhow do you revome the disk (looks like a camera shutter)?? There is 2 little holes on the disk, i tried with retainer clip pliers, i tried to pull it off differents ways but it's stuck. I dont want to brake it in 2 pieces...
Thanks
