2010 FE rad fan and gas tank install trick?

Guys,

I'm pretty sure I read it here a while ago but a search isn't yielding me anything.

Did someone mention a "trick" to installing the fuel tank when you have the radiator fan installed on the right radiator without loosening the radiator and rotating it forward? Man it's tight! Any help is greatly appreciated. I thought I remember someone loosening the battery tray but not sure? Thanks.
 
The easiest and fastest way to do it is to take off the muffler and the three bolts holding the sub frame on. Then just lay the sub frame back a little bit and you'll be able to pull the tank back and lift the front up and then pull the tank forward. Have done this many times.
 
Thanks Dale. I was thinking that's the only way. These bikes are tight! But then again, you should know. :D
