Hello folks

Trying to set up my suspension on my 2010 fe450
As I weigh in at 123kg I changed rear shock spring to 105nm which gives me
Static sag 35mm
Riders sag 95mm

Rear shock is FE going by part number

Should I change rear to 100nm to get more towards the 100mm mark

The forks are actually from a FX450 and I assume stock springs but I feel they need uprating along with fresh oil etc especially as I’m no light weight and I’ve changed the rear

Any idea of spring rate to start with etc

Have been looking on site but not come across this combo

Thank you very much for your time

Happy New Year to you all

at 35mm of static sag you still have a weak spring on the rear. I ran 50s on the front and i weighed 95KG at the time.

Cheers Taffy ...I thought 35mm of static sag is what I was aiming for looking through threads etc....

well i alwasy ignore the number as it is too unreliable but i threw it in because I'd want less....more ike 30mm.

try and get the wheels off the ground and record the length of the spring in its preloaded state. your spring started 250mm long and should be about 245mm long now. it'll be like 230mm!
