Before I go and tear my bike apart, I thought I would check with the board to see if anyone had some advice. I hadn't started my bike in about two weeks and decided to get it out and fire it up. It fired right up with no issues and ran for about 3 minutes before I shut it off. I went to start it again about 30 minutes later and nothing. It will make a one click sound every now and then when I push the buttom but will not turn the starter or anything. Fuses look fine. I suppose I will start with the battery to see if for some reason it needs charged but it seemed very wierd that it started one moment and then nothing the next. Any info would be appreciated very much.

Loose battery cables seem to be an issue with some. Check the battery with a volt meter to make sure you have 12V plus. If the battery checks good, try to take a voltage reading across the battery when trying to start it. It should not drop much below 10V.

Yeah, try the battery terminals. I was riding on the weekend and stopped for mates to catch up and hit the button to the sounds of nothing ! Checked the fuses, all ok, then wiggled the battery terminals and it started to get some life. Pulled out my spanners and tightened the terminals and no problems since.

Hi, .. hope you could solve the issue in the meanwhile, but thought I reply as I have had lots of pain due to starting issues with my 570FE.
a) There is a KTM known issue with the 570's & the 530 KTM's Camshafts "Out of Tolerance", which cause the Auto Deco not to open & block the engine from turning when hot ( .. you hear a CLick & thats it! Works fine when engine is cold! ... this was solved by exchanging the camshaft ( .. dealer warranty ).
b) After the camshaft was changed the hot engine turned when starting, but still wouldn't fire up when hot very frequently. Dealer told me he has the same issue with his 530 KTM ... once cooled down => OK.

My BYPASS on this issue:
* Keep the Gas Throttle open by 1cm ( 10 degree ) & press the start button with the other hand
* Once the engine starts turning, release the throttle ( ... close it ) & keep the start switch pressed ==>
the bike will start IMMEDIATE!
Works 100% with my bike! Mod.2010.

Checked everything and nothing was loose and battery voltage was fine. Tried the method that Klaus explains above and it fired right up. I have never had an issue until this one time and only have 4 rides on the bike. So Klaus, do you really think that I have an "out of tolerance" issue? Thanks to all for responses.
