2010 FE 390 Over temp

Hi guys
I have a overheating problem with my FE 390, I have taken it to the dealer several times and we cant seem to figure it out. I have installed a fan kit, replace the coolant with ICE, change the fan sensors, removed the thermostat. I purchased a FMF slip and had to work the jetting. I ride between 8500 and 11000 feet temp usually around 65 degrees farenheit.
I am stationed overseas and I don't have a lot of confidence in my local dealership

I appreciate any help

When you say overheating is the bike getting hot (do you have a temp guage) or does it just spew coolant from the overflow hose or water pump weep hole ? I had what I thought was overheating issues until I discovered a leaking head gasket. Man the elevation you ride is crazy 8O

Hi
No I don't have a temp gauge but thinking about putting one on. I am afraid I am going to fry the head. The bike only has 40 hours on it. Yes it spews coolant out the radiator hose and at the end of the ride I have lost about half of the coolant, and ICE and ain't cheap, but mainly I am just worried I am going to cause damage to the engine
Yeah Colombia is off road heaven, I went on a trail ride with my son two weeks ago with a club here and rode over 80 miles and went as high as 13,000 but Husa did fine compared to the other bikes.

Hey there

I have a 390 as well and have over a hundred hours on the clock. Your bike sound exactly like every other berg I have run into, including mine. I can over heat mine going down hill with the clutch pulled in. It is my opinion that they undersized the rads on these bikes. If you are stuck and have to work the clutch for like 30 secounds you will boil over.
I have learned to take my time when stuck and let the bike cool down. If there is open space ahead, dont stop and get the air flowing through the rads asap.
I run straight water most of the time as it works better then ICE. I then can top up the rads with the Camel bak as required on a long ride. Just put a small amount of antifreeze in the rads (10%) for protection to the cooling system.

Some guys will tell you that they never boil over, I suspect that they dont ride the super steep, tight stuff.

If you want to see a few bergs boiling over check out my "TERRA NOVA the hills" video in the genral section.

Cheers
