On the grapevine from TT. Maybe 22' rake. Black clamps. Low fuel light.

Two more models fe390 and fx450.

there may possibly be a 390 and the fx 450 for test at fr3 in september.

mootak, aka jeff, the poster on TT, is a recently joined member here.

wonder where he got the photo from as i cant find any other photo other than this one.

Pretty awesome looking bike!

The 2009 bike has a 26.5 degree rake with a 19mm offset. So I doubt that the 2010 bike has a 22 degree rake.

Sorry yes, will be 22 offset for the fx maybe and different ratio gearbox, american only model.
The plastics are already available so i dont know what the actual end result will be for the 2010 models, just what ive heard so far.
Sounds like not much change for the FE models except low fuel light which would have been handy.
Oh and maybe the US FEs wil come with headlights etc like UK.

Cheers,
Nickl

A 22 offset.......That's interesting indeed, that means less trail and less weight on the front wheel.

If they are going to come with lights in the US, then that means they will be EPA legal, and possibly street legal. As it is my understanding that an off road bike cannot be sold in the US with lights if they are not EPA legal. So at the very least they would be PRC (peoples republic of california) green sticker legal.

before i get too excited i'd like to know where mootak got his info from.

As we saw with the '09 there was all sorts of rumours only about 25% of which proved right.

update;

after 2 mins on google think i may have found where mootak got his info.

http://www.taskysmetriccycle.com/

he's a dealer.

Thats why i said its just hearsay at the moment.
I got the info from Jeff tasky of the two new models and this was backed up by ScottyR.

Cypher , i dont see any links to 2010 models on the site you have given ?

Dylan Debel has been running the 22mm offset "factory" clamps on his 09' and really likes them, the boys from Sweden told him to try it. Sounds like they are just listening to the riders.

Now, how does an increase in the offset decrease the weight on the front wheel. I know it decreases the trail, but the weight I am having trouble visualizing.
Not arguing, just trying to learn......

Never mind I figured it out.

It moves the front wheel away from the centralization of mass, there for shifting the weight to the back wheel......

I got the 2010 info from my US rep - new models - changes - etc.
The black, blue, chrome body kit is avail. soon through Husaberg. Not sure what a 2010 will look like (color)
Looking forward to trying the new triple clamp rake.

?

there aren't.

its a link to mootaks shop.

i was wondering where he got his info then found out he's a dealer so posted up the link to his shop.

as he's 'in the loop' so too speak, his info is likely to be more reliable than the usual TT "whats coming next year?" threads.

i'm just sceptical / suspicious all the time so like to know my info sources and a little of their back ground so that i can judge how reliable the info is likely to be. :D

anyway now i'm happy those black & blue bikes look nice.

as much as i like black it always seems to fade or look older quickly in my experience so hopefully the plastics will be top quality to counter this.

WOW, awesome looking bike. I wonder if the price will go up too? That kills sales in this area, way to expensive. Try telling you wife you need a dirt bike that cost 10k. She looks at my 2000 FC and cant see why I need one.

Like mootak said a few posts up the picture in the first post isn't the 2010 bike. It's a new kind of decals with a black-chrome-kind-of-look. They're available like any other force part.
Take a look at the same kind of decals that are avaliable for the 690E / SMC.

Wow! When can I order the graphics? I saw the black plastic already but those graphics are awesome. I was going to order a new facotry seat cover for my 09 (mine got ripped up), but if this kit will be out then I'll be ordering a black seat instead along with those parts.

Those triple clamps are trick, and I wish I had the low fuel light.

Husaberg is offering a low fuel light kit for the 2009's. No pricing or availability info yet.
