Im in the market for a new bike and would love to get your feedback .Some questions id like to know are all related to short stroke 450 vs long stroke 570. 1). Does the 450 rev alot faster and higher and by how much ? 2)Does one vibrate more than the other 3)Does the 450 have good power ? 4.)Does the 570 have alot more engine braking? I have ridden both and they both rev out about the same. its just that after reved out, the 570 is carrying a hell of alot more speed. one does not vibrate more than the other. I own a 2010 fe 450 and it has PLENTY of power. I came off of an 05 ktm 450 exc with a 525 piston in it and IT had good power. the husaberg probably makes more and definitely makes better power. more usable power. I think both have about the same engine braking...maybe a tad more on the 570.
For my weight and riding style (and I am now 47) I bought the 450. I almost bought the 570 because I still like to go fast. and, IT GOES FAST. However, the 450 just seemed more.....usable and manageable ...for me. I think either would do. Also, I beleive it is basically about your weight and what and where you ride. some have said the 390 is...the ****. I on the other hand,I never, ever, want to be craving more power. so, I went 450. middle ground for me. and, it has been a good choice. Have fun doing the research, I did!

Thanks Aareola for your replay i went ahead and bit the bullet and also got the Fe450 this weekend and im stoked to break it in and get some real seat time in the knarly technical stuff. It sounds like i made the same move as you going from my old 525 exc to the new Fe450.

grats on the new toy :)
I noticed that your fuel tank is black. I thought all the new bikes had a grey tank so you could see your fuel level (well mine does at least..)
Is it a black tank on the bikes in certain parts of the world?

The 2010 bikes use a new material for the tank so that it does not outgas as much as the 2009 models. This is a requirement to get them green sticker rated in California and probably for licensing too.

Hey thanks guys i took it out twice on a couple break in rides nothing knarly yet. Once i get her broken in ill be able to give some feedback .As of now the bike does feel alot more nimble than my old 07 525exc.I think this bike is going to be super fun ,if its everything i hope it to be i might just sell my 05 yz250 but shes got some proving to due first .My feeling is that this bike wont wear me down as fast as my yz250 does but maybe im wrong time will tell soon enough. Meanwhile i need to buy some goodies for her mainly protective guards for hands, pipe, skidplate, frame.

Nice ride mate,I found that in mud and sand the radiator shrouds lower section of the tank and subframe scuffs up real easy looks like s&@t now. Some of that thick clear decal material would be the go

Dont forget the slave cylinder guard for the clutch. Husaberg has a nice anodized blue one available. Also the "BulletProof" Radiator Guards, Rear Disc Guard, and Swing Arm guard all wrok great and look awesome in the anodized blue.

Thanks guys for the suggestions i think i going to have to start looking for a second job
