Hello everyone, ive read the other threads and want to be sure i make a sound purchase. Im looking for a track weapon for sumo and occasionally trail ride...not a championship money pit. Would be willing to redo fe suspension for 50 sumo 50 dirt or just focused on either and swap only wheels.

Would you suggest getting a sumo fork set up and set up rear for 50/50? Just trying to figure out different options. Also i am looking to buy the parts, any recommendations? Also would you advise any of these set ups?

My apologies for a lame reply but that list is really hard to read, did the forum software glom it all into one paragraph? - I'll have a go once I have some sleep and coffee :)

Ok so i bought the set and wanted to know what do i need to switch dirt to sum by only swapping forks and caliper (dont want to use relocation bracket. Any recommendations?

Why don't you want to use the adapter you got with the kit?

If you don't use it, you have to the use the stock, much smaller, dirt rotor don't you?

You will absolutely want the bigger disc... Any sustained braking from high speed on the stock disc will have you replacing it very quickly!

for me, i have a FE 390 and swap on a sumo setup as well. here's what I have/do:

swap 17" wheels (front has a 310mm beringer iron disc, rear has stock sized disc)
swap chain (dirt chain is longer)
swap stock caliper for 6 pot beringer (mmmm)
swap stock master cylinder for larger unit more suited to the monster caliper (brembo I think?) and longer front brake line
remove rear upper chain guide thing
change ws setting in computer so speedo reads properly

I don't have to deal with a relocation bracket, so not sure how much this helps, but good luck! It'll be a monster!
