Picked up a slip on from a member here and need to know should i run with spark arrestor or baffle w no arrestor or wide open? Should i remap/tune it for any map? If so, what options are there?

Thanks!

Just whack it on and ride my friend.

Insert in or out makes little difference.

You should have the competition map either way imo, especially now with a less restricted akra. And use the insert (without the spark arrestor mesh unless you really need it), you have not much to gain without insert except more dB and a bit weaker bottom.

Is this the one you have?

ktm-parts.com: Akrapovic Slip-On Factory Silencer KTM/HUS/HQV 04-14

I have tried to order an FMF 4.1 for the last 6 months or more now but they are still unavailable so im considering canceling my order and getting the Akrapovic instead if it is available. Im running the stock pipe with the guts removed at the moment and its terrible.

If you really want a 4.1 just get one made for a later model KTM 450 sx-f, 250 sx-f etc. They are the same pipe just minus the spring mount the husaberg has, I just used a pipe clamp around the slip on and then attached the spring to the clamp, I used a titanium 4.1 with carbon end cap on my fe570 that I got off a guy used who had it on a KTM 250 sx-f.

Contact a local dealer and ask (I guess today Husqvarna och KTM?). My dealer installed his homemade map when I bought mine, and I read a few times on this forum about people taking there bikes to their dealers to have it done.

Some dealers will actually deliver the bikes with the good map - afaik the local dealer does.

I just had my 2011 FE570 remapped at my local dealer and they were supposed to install the Competition Map.

Now the ECU is blinking an error code for the Lambda heater circuit. Never did that before

Problem is the bike never had a Oxygen sensor......

Is this normal for a completion remap or ?

Any help would be appreciated.

BTW - my bike has 300+ hours on it and this is the first time it has every flashed an ECU error code.
